Since the first day of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the PGE Group has been involved in activities supporting refugees. To this end, through the PGE Foundation, it provided financial support in the amount of PLN 420 thousand to help the Ukrainians fleeing war. Employees of PGE Group companies also became involved in the activities and collected 5 buses full of gifts for those in need. Also sports teams and cultural institutions under the patronage of PGE joined in the assistance to Ukraine.

After a review of its sponsorship projects the PGE Group has decided to reduce the related expenditures by half, or nearly PLN 27 million in 2020.

During the Company's Ordinary General Meeting held in Warsaw on Wednesday the shareholders of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. decided to pay out dividend in the amount of PLN 1.83 per share, or PLN 3.42bn in total, from the Company's 2011 profit of PLN 4.56bn.  The Management Board recommended dividend in the amount of PLN 1.32 per share, or PLN 2.47bn in total. The General Meeting determined the dividend date at 22 August 2012 and the dividend payment date at 6 September 2012.

Warsaw, 7 January 2012 - PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA has been distinguished by the Award Committee of the 77th Best Athlete poll of sports daily Przegląd Sportowy and TVP for its active support of the Polish sport!

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, an investor of Poland's first nuclear power plant, is to launch an education and information programme entitled "Nuclear Awareness" ["Świadomie o atomie"]. Its objective is to encourage participants to search for information on nuclear power and simultaneously to provide knowledge allowing everybody to form their own opinion on this subject.

Warsaw, 29 June 2011 – Shareholders of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. have adopted resolutions concerning the determination of dividend amount and dividend payment date, the approval of the financial statements for the year 2010, granting the discharge of duties to the members of the Management Board and Supervisory Board, and the amendments to the Company Statutes.

As a result of the Rzeszów team's promotion to the highest league, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna has prolonged and extended its cooperation with the team becoming the Titular Sponsor of Speedway Stal Rzeszów.

The 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition has commenced in Warsaw.

PGE is the main sponsor of the 2010 Special Olympics European Summer Games, which will be held from 18 September to 23 September 2010 in  Warsaw. This will be the first event of this type held in Central and Eastern Europe.

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna is the Sponsor of the Chopin's Year 2010 celebrations, including the "Chopin and his Europe" Festival.

Between 9 and 13 July 2010 the city of Lublin will host the third edition of "DIFFERENT SOUNDS ART’n’MUSIC FESTIVAL LUBLIN-LVIV 2010". The organisation of this event is supported by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
