New appointments to the PGE Management Board


Warsaw, 18 July 2008. The Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. was closed on 18 July 2008. At the meeting, the following persons were appointed to the company’s management board: Tomasz Zadroga, Piotr Szymanek and Marek Trawiński.

Tomasz Zadroga, appointed President of the Management Board effective 1 August 2008, holds a degree in economics and sociology. He is vice-president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has extensive professional experience in corporate restructuring, strategic planning and financial management, and has served on the management boards of commercial companies in diverse fields.

Piotr Szymanek, appointed Vice-President of the Management Board for Corporate and Legal Affairs effective 21 July 2008, holds a law degree. He completed post-graduate studies in Corporate Management on the European Union Market at the Warsaw School of Economics. Szymanek has extensive professional experience providing corporate legal services in companies from the power industry as well as in legal consulting and legislation. He has also held managerial functions in financial institutions.

Marek Trawiński, appointed Vice-President of the Management Board for Trade and Distribution as of 28 July 2008, is a polytechnic graduate and completed several programmes of post-graduate studies in management accounting, finance and banking. He holds an MBA from the European University in Montreux, Switzerland, and completed the Canadian International Management Institute ICAN’s Management Program 2006 Executive Development Program in cooperation with Harvard Business School. He has vast experience in corporate management and has served on corporate supervisory boards.
