Each annual edition of the Festival is an opportunity for classical music lovers to listen to excellent concerts and to meet outstanding contemporary artists. We are pleased that we can co-create such a wonderful event again  – says Urszula Baranowska, Marketing and PR Department Director. The aim of this year's Festival, held from 1 to 31 August, is a presentation of Fryderyk Chopin's works in a wide cultural context, indicating different sources of his style and some connections both with the 19th c. composers and with the creators of next generations. ,

Apart from symphonic concerts, chamber hall concerts and recitals, the Festival organisers have also planned some happenings, jazz and open-air concerts. Classical music lovers will also have an opportunity to listen to the original sound on the historical pianos. The Festival will host such distinguished artists as Marc Minkowski of Les Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble, Misha Maisky, Nelson Freire, Maria João Pires, Maurizio Pollini, Nelson Goerner, Philippe Herreweghe, Orchestre des Champs-Élysèes, Il Giardino Armonico or Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. More information on the "Chopin and his Music" International Festival is available on the website of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
