PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. has been recognized again for Europe's largest and most successful stock exchange debut of 2009.
The company has been awarded the statuette of the Bull and Bear by the Parkiet economic daily. The newspaper granted awards to individuals and institutions that had taken advantage of development opportunities during the period of economic slowdown. On behalf of PGE, the award was received by Mr Wojciech Topolnicki, Vice-president of the Management Board. PGE's debut was the largest ever IPO of a Polish company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and Europe's largest IPO in 2009. For years the Bulls and Bears Award has been regarded as a status symbol of competence and reliability. Its winners are recognized for the high quality and effectiveness of their operations. In this year's competition, about 500 companies (including those from the NewConnect market) and tens of financial institutions.
