Besides the Group's investment and nuclear power generation programmes, consolidation is one of PGE's most important stratgic activities.

The signed agreements guarantee the current employees of the Retail Sales and Distribution companies the preservation of their current labour entitlements and benefits on condition that they cannot accrue to new workers and their scope remains unchanged.

The employees' acceptance of the Consolidation Programme is a clear evidence that all partners engaged in the dialogue care about the building of the strong Capital Group, said Tomasz Zadroga, PGE Management Board President. I hope that in consequence of the continuing consultations, we will soon be able to sign similar agreements with the Social Partners in the Group's other operating areas, added Tomasz Zadroga.

The agreement concerning the Distribution companies was signed by 21 out of 23 trade unions. The remaining two unions are to announce their decisions soon. All trade unions representing the employees of the Retail Sales companies signed their respective agreement.

On 9 June 2010 similar agreements were signed by the trade unions representing the employees of PGE KWB Bełchatów S.A. and PGE KWB Turów S.A.

Under the Consolidation Programme of the PGE Capital Group, the merger of the Retail Sales companies will be managed by PGE Obrót S.A. in Rzeszów, while PGE Dystrybucja S.A. in Lublin will be responsible for the integration of the Distribution companies.
