Notice to Proceed (NTP) issued to the General Contractor of Opole II project

Contents of the report

The Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. ("PGE") discloses that on January 31, 2014 the Management Board of PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A. ("PGE GiEK"), PGE subsidiary company, issued to Rafako S.A., Polimex-Mostostal S.A. and Mostostal Warszawa S.A., forming a syndicate (the "General Contractor"), along with Alstom Power sp. z o.o. participation, a Notice to Proceed (“NTP”) concerning construction of two hard coal fired units with a total capacity of 1800 MW in Opole power plant (units 5&6). According to the provisions of the agreement, construction shall be finished within 54 months from the date of the NTP with reference to unit no 5 and within 62 months from the date of the NTP with reference to unit no 6.

Date of the issue of the NTP is in line with provisions of the settlement to the agreement on construction of units 5&6 at Opole Power Plant dated December 6, 2013, about which PGE informed in the current report no 106/2013 dated December 6, 2013.

Legal basis: Art. 56 sec. 5 of the Act dated July 29, 2005 on Public Offerings and Conditions Governing the Introduction of Financial Instruments to Organised Trading, and on Public Companies (Dziennik Ustaw of 2009 No. 185, item 1439 as amended).
